Anticipatory service is often talked about, but what is it really and how does a Master/Mistress/Dom guide a slave/submissive in achieving this? What can a slave/sub do improve his or her anticipatory skills? Join International Master and slave 2011, Liza and her slave, Jody, in a discussion of anticipatory service. What is it and what is it not? What foundations are necessary to allow anticipatory service to blossom? What tools are available to realize this "holy grail?" Open to all. This is the conclusion one slave reached early in his slave journey. "Simple" is NOT the same as "easy". In this workshop slave lyle will present his viewpoint about why being slave is MUCH more simple for him than being a partner in an egalitarian relationship (romantic relationship, family, work, etc.). The presentation will explore various aspects of being slave and the simple ways slave lyle has found to conquer them. A short list of "maxims" developed over time has become a simple guide to this slave when issues have arisen in his dynamic with his Master. And, while others may not use the word "simple", it seems that others have reached similar conclusions about many aspects of being slave. The workshop will distinguish between "simple" and "easy" and invite discussion about what others have found to be the more complex challenges of being slave.
Presenter: slave lyle
How do you know if an open relationship is for you? Are there hallmarks to watch for, character traits to cultivate? Most importantly, how do we include kindness in our interactions with our partners and the people we involve ourselves with, especially if we are just beginning our exploration? Open to all levels of experience, background and relationship dynamics; geared especially towards ôbeginnersö and those who are curious about open relationships.

Catherine Gross will address the many questions and specific issues regarding this time-honored system that enables experienced slaves to provide useful knowledge to their owners without ever "topping from the bottom."
Presenter: Catherine Gross
Moving in a roommate to an already established household, or folks moving in together for the first time, presents a set of challenges. Adding a poly element to this mix presents another set of challenges on top of these scenarios. For example, who sleeps where, and with who, and what nights? What do we tell the children? (Is there *room* for the children?!) How should bills and financial obligations be handled? Join Jeyn in a practical discussion of some of the ins and outs of blending a poly family, and all the feelings that often accompany that journey!
Ahh, the sight of healthy, fit individuals engaged in a truly committed M/s or D/s dynamic is a sight to behold and admire. But wait! Is being healthy and fit a prerequisite for a successful and committed M/s or D/s dynamic? This is an audience participatory workshop facilitated by Unc' where we'll be able to discuss, exchange views, share experiences, and, perhaps, garner some new ideas and perspectives on how M/s and D/s dynamics can work, grow, and thrive if one or both of those in the dynamic are physically and/or mentally challenged. Having your slave kneel by your side is great when they're young, but as you grow old together and it's hard to kneel, what then? A dynamic can still be just as rewarding and fulfilling once you transcend such obstacles because the core beings of each other are still together. Let's discuss ways in which this can be accomplished and this workshop. Be prepared to expand your horizons.
Presenter: Uncle Abdul
This workshop will address challenges for Master/slave pairs who have been in their dynamic for a while. We will explore some challenges that can arise over time: What can you do to deepen your dynamic?; What are ways to keep it fresh and growing?; How can you maximize trust and surrender in the slave?; Who is transparent and how much?; The importance of periodic review of rituals, protocols and controls; Poly issues - things that come up when there is another primary partner, and what happens when Master adds a new submissive?; to live or or not to live together and challenges from each; Is it or is it not love/romantic? There are no single (or simple) answers to these issues: this is intended to be an interactive session to explore these issue and propose ways to address them.
Presenter: Master Richard Sprott & slave lyle

Discover techniques that may lead you to let go of what you cannot recapture, and thus allow you to reclaim and freshly claim your erotic, sexual, and personal sense of self.

Do you experience both the yearning and the fear of being seen? This workshop will explore the nature of this approach-avoidance dance, which is often an aspect of learning to stand naked and be transparent on all levels. We will briefly touch on our own struggle and experience with revealing the self and how our exploration of M/s has supported our commitment to this process. The rest of the workshop will be devoted to an open discussion where we will explore how to nurture greater transparency, deepen our awareness of our hidden selves. We will also discuss the benefits and possible downsides of opening to this process.

Are you new and looking for a Top, Dom/me, Master or Mistress? Or are you newly single? Do you want to find a way to get your needs met while searching for the person that is a good match for you? Do you want to learn some skills to share with your single friends? How about understanding where the single submissive/slaves are coming from? This class will help give you the tools to share and understand with others; we will discuss and share skills for "surviving" being single while on that search. The focus will NOT be on looking for someone but how to get your needs met while in "search mode". Doing so will assist in keeping those lustful decisions at bay. Be sure to bring your ideas and skills you have learned to the class to share. This workshop will be interactive and encouraging of sharing.
In this workshop, I hope to provide tools and skills to the participants which will help them to better identify what it is they want specifically, and ways in which to achieve that goal. Mastering this can be applied not only to interpersonal relations, but to selecting play partners, designing scenes, and developing working partnerships. Remember, you can't get what you want from someone unless you know what it is.

"I'm yours." "You're mine." Ownership has a powerful pull for some of us. Many desire to possess someone fully, or give ourselves over to another—maybe for one scene, maybe for absolutely everything. How does one have personal agency and explore owner/property dynamics? How can we reconcile the reality of non-consensual slavery with our fantasies? How can we queer the prevalent images of kinky authority exchange relationships? Is it even possible to play without limits? And here's the big question: What is it about this that gets you hot? Come explore the full spectrum of ownership, from casual play to 24/7 Master/slave relationships, with Sinclair and rife.
Presenter: Sinclair Sexsmith & rife
All M/s relationships (in fact all relationships) will end. They will end of natural or unnatural causes. It is imperative for members on both sides of the slash to contemplate this and develop joint visions of what the post-dynamic life will be for either of them. Not to do so could be a matter of life or death. Why can this be a matter of life or death? This workshop will explain exactly why.
This workshop will be structured as most Master Morris Taylor workshops were structured: to start with a personal sharing to delineate the main theme of the workshop, then individual participants will add their understanding and questions to enrich our appreciation for the topic. Be prepared to share and to listen compassionately.
Presenter: Slave Jonathan Taylor and slave larry
If communication is the foundation of a solid, ongoing relationship, trust is the bricks, and having a safe space is the mortar that holds it together. Without trust, there can be no meaningful communication, without a safe space that allows the difficult conversation there can be no trust. In this facilitated discussion we discuss the benefits, and the challenges of having a safe space that enables us to have those difficult conversations.

I often hear submissives ask, "I don't understand what you get out of being dominant." And I can certainly attest to the fact that many dominants are equally curious about the motivations for submission. I don't pretend to know all the answers (I know, that's hard for some of you to believe), but I do have a few opinions and a background in psychology. I welcome a dialogue with you and would be happy to share my take on this dance we do together. There really are some very distinct differences in choosing those roles in the power exchange relationship world (and a considerable number of similarities, surprisingly enough). It is my intention to start the evening with a few personal observations and then open it up for discussion and questions. I hope you will come and help me, because the more you contribute, the more we all learn.

This workshop covers some of the more likely psychological reactions and events that might arise and disrupt a scene, and covers what to do about them. There are all kinds of triggers that can set off an intense reaction, and many times these are unknown or out of the Dom's control or the dungeon owner's control - so it is good to have a mental health "first aid" set of strategies on hand. The workshop will discuss some of these first aid strategies, and explore the experiences of participants in relation to these emergencies.
Presenter: Master Richard Sprott
Have you been curious about the world of dolls, coloring, juiceboxes, babysitters, and maybe (shocking!) diapers? Do you identify as a little or middle, or want to play with someone who does? Wondering what do to with occasional mommy- or daddy-impulses, or want to incorporate more guidance and nurturing into your dynamic, even without kid stuff? Age play is a world of many diverse roles and approaches: come see where you might get something out of it, or what you might have to give.
Ever wanted to be an animal? Have you thought about having a human pet of your very own? Come and learn about petplay! We'll talk about choosing your animal and getting into headspace, safety tips, different styles of play, how to negotiate a petplay scene, and more! At the end of the class, there will be an opportunity to play. You're welcome to bring or wear any petplay gear, or play with some of the toys that will be provided.
As a Little, have you craved greater accountability, or the satisfaction of being helpful? As a Big, have you felt encroaching burn-out, or an inability to set expectations? For everyone, there can be dissonance between negotiating and conducting a D/s relationship and a headspace that isn’t primarily about service and responsibility. Let’s address reconciling D/s and age play dynamics with positive frames and goal-setting and accountability approaches.
Through lecture and demonstrations this class will teach you ten techniques that will help you achieve a greater level of connection and spirituality in your S/M scene. One of the most dynamic aspects of scening is being able to experience connectivity and energy exchange with your play partner. These helpful techniques will teach an approach that will allow bottoms to eroticize pain instead of simply enduring it and show tops how they can pave the way for blissful headspace and catharsis. Learn the importance of trust, breathing and touch for connection. Also learn creative ways of utilizing primal and sexual energy to increase intimacy as well as the importance of timing and rhythm for greater headspace. This is a dynamic class is for tops and bottoms wishing to have a more spiritual or connective experience from their s/m play.

BDSM is a fertile field for growth, transformation, passion and fun. This "field" also often contains landmines. A "Consent Collision" is an unintended event in a scene – or within a dynamic – that crosses a line of consent for one or both parties. A "Consent Violation" is an act of intentionally – or with reckless disregard – crossing a line of consent. In this class, we will discuss ways to mitigate against the risks of consent collisions and consent violations. We will also have in-depth discussion of strategies for healing and recovery in the aftermath of consent issues.

A look at the expansion of the hanky code from its roots in the 1970Æs. Asking the question is the hanky code to comprehensive? An open discussion on the actual practice of flagging in our communities today. Given the "new-age" form of digital cruising answering the question, is the hanky code still relevant today?

Most of us have enjoyed reading a Harlequin romance or a delightfully kinky story and some of us have even tried things we read about. But can we do the opposite? Can YOU be the writer and use that writing to help you to unlock and manifest your deepest delectable desires? And how might writing be used to share or unearth the lascivious longings with a current or potential play partner? In this interactive class, Daddy Sage, author of the book, Harley: The Story of a Leather Dyke and Her Clan, will briefly share how her own writing process facilitated her real-life leather journey as a Daddy and Master and how she uses it to learn more about those with whom she negotiates. She will teach a bit about the creative writing process, share simple tricks that enable anyone to write. She will then guide you in a brief session of naughty writing and sharing. Come feed your hedonistic hunger in this engrossing and emboldening class.

Disenfranchised peoples experience dozens to hundreds of microaggressions each day. These seemingly disposable attacks leave folks feeling empty, defeated, angry, victimized, helpless, and worse. Let's talk about what microaggressions are, how and why they function, and how we can all do a better job of communicating with awareness of the marginalized groups with whom we share and build our kink community.

Richard Wagner is mostly known as a controversial composer of some of the world's most celebrated and reviled operas. Today Wagner is seen primarily controversial for the role his music played in the Nazi era. Indeed, Wagner's own notorious anti-semitism overshadows today the role sensuality and sexuality played in the controversy. Using primary sources: his letters; letters of friends and lovers; and indeed his own music, this workshop tries to throw some light on our forgotten history: the queer and kink world of Richard Wagner.
