Take part in a discussion-based class that probes questions of gender and sex. By deconstructing misconceptions surrounding trans people, attendees will discover how blurry the lines between the sexes are! After a brief Trans 101 presentation, the class moves to a conversational format exploring issues in relationships and power exchange dynamics with trans people and their partners. Additional time will be devoted for the questions you want answers to but google didn't know!

In a committed M/s relationship for 18 years, Liza and her slave, Jody, (International Master and slave 2011) have produced events, judged, keynoted, and taught extensively, receiving numerous awards, including MAST International's 2012 Presenter of the Year. Liza came to power at Woodstock. Jody came out as a leatherdyke and slave in 1980 in LA, founding Leather and Lace, an early women's leather group. They're members of Portland Bad Girls, San Francisco Exiles and MAsT.

This is "Chopped" for the singletail. You will be paired off against an opponent in a series of judged double elimination rounds. The competition will continue until the singletail champ is chosen! Protective eyewear provided. This year there will also be individual skill games testing your singletail prowess and a secret something that will only revealed during the games.

With the current focus on consent and the emergence of the #metoo movement, where does consent fit into hierarchical relationships? Is there any place in such a relationship for the slave, submissive or “property” to say NO? Where, if anywhere, does “consentual non-consent” fit? This will be a gently facilitated discussion open to all. Participation is strongly encouraged but not required.

She's Mama's Fire-Bringer and has a hell of a time trying to fill out a bio.

Protocols can enhance and deepen an authority-based relationship. But how do you get started? The workshop is lecture/discussion to incorporate methods and ideas help you form a framework for your protocol. We'll explore ideas and approaches to discover what works for you. Specific topics will focus on what is meaningful in protocol, frameworks to help form protocols and enforcement. The workshop is geared toward those in authority-based relationships or interested in authority-based relationships.

Trampling can be fun for both parties involved, but what if you're new to the idea? This class hopes to demystify the flow between parties in trampling. Methods discussed will focus on partial-weight trampling with boots and using tools to balance. We'll also cover the pro's & con's of different styles of footwear for trampling and how they effect a scene. Good for new to exp. folk.

Master Ben and naomi are avid educators in the M/s community. They both serve on the staff of the MTTA Academy, providing exploratory retreats for Masters and slaves. They are also frequent presenters on M/s relationships at national and regional conferences. They are in a long-term committed M/s relationship based on authority, love and laughter.

The kink community includes various subgroups based on identity, interests, orientation, gender and culture. While we are all sexual outlaws on the fringes of the “vanilla” world, there is little “cross-pollination” between the groups. Moreover, our failure to celebrate diversity and practice inclusion has divided the kink community and threatened our collective experience. In this class we will explore what steps are needed to move forward together.

Racism is a problem in leather communities, including the M/s community, just like it is everywhere else in the US. Dialogue is an important step to begin to unpack and address the harms of white supremacy, but sometimes white people need a little help to get ready for those conversations. We will discuss the concept of "white fragility" and practice exercises to better show up for conversations we need to have in our communities.

What happens backstage at a leather contest? This class will explore the role of the Den Daddy. The Den Daddy role is a mix of teacher, therapist, bootblack, and stage manager all in an effort to keep the contest running smoothly and contestants having a fun, low-stress experience. This is an excellent opportunity to see part what goes into a title contest whether you want to produce one, volunteer at one, or run for one.

This class teaches techniques for shaving any area of the body. Safety information is emphasized throughout. Included are discussions on equipment, supplies, and techniques. Some techniques will be demonstrated. Various aspects of both service shaving and erotic shaving will be discussed. This class is gender-neutral and suitable for novices as well as more experienced individuals.

Ravnos and Pagan met at a Photo shoot over some rope. They are well known for having a lot of fun, no matter where they are. They have been in the Reno community since 2012. They are members of MAsT: Reno and you can find them at DMA-R, Cigar Socials, or with their polyam family having a good time. They are dedicated to teaching safer edge play and building a better and more inclusive community.

A cane is often thought to be a beginner toy, yet there is so much more to this versatile tool. We will go over the cane techniques, the many different ways you can use one, from sensual, to very sadistic, places to cane, different ways to cane, how to place your strokes to get different reactions. Ravnos picked up a cane because Pagan is a giant slut for them, and has learned quite few tricks.

Served on the smOdyssey Education and Policies and Procedures committees. I joined the Board of smOdyssey in November 2014 and have served as one or more of: Secretary, President, or Treasurer ever since.
