Three contestant pairs represented the Master/slave lifestyle in the contest: Master Duane and slave Kelly of Seattle, Master Keith and slave Lise of Portland, and Daddy Ken and slaveboy Tim of San Francisco.
International slave 2006, slave ziggy led the judging panel as head judge. The panel also included Daddy Warren Williams (SF Leather Daddy XXIV), slave Nadine (International slave 2003), Ms Kendra (producer of GLLA and 2006 Pantheon of Leather Woman of the Year), slaveboy Rick (2008 SWLC Leatherman's Heart Award), Master Harold (President and Chairman of the board of directors of APEX), and Lady Lynette (NE Master 2007).

How about a good old-fashioned smoker? Northwest Leather Celebration invites you to attend a traditional Leather community favorite -- a "Cigar & Port" social poolside at the Domain Hotel on Saturday, May 17, 2008, immediately after the Northwest Master/slave contest pageant and show.
The Society of Janus is our sponsor for the "Cigar & Port" poolside social. Volunteer members of SoJ will be at your service to pour your wine and snip your cigars.
Admission is free to all registered attendees of Northwest Leather Celebration and there is no additional charge for libations! Bring your own port and cigars or enjoy our complimentary selection, including Bonny Doon's nifty port wine and raspberry blend, "Bouteille Call." (Yes, it is pronounced "Booty Call," heh!) Come get some!
ASL interpretation will be available upon request to deaf and hearing-impaired pre-registered guests of Northwest Leather Celebration during Saturday's educational seminars. Captain's Fun in the Bun will be serving their delicious Chicago Dogs, Italian Beef Sandwiches, Spicy Polish and Sabra's Bitchin' BBQ Beef Sandwiches at the SCCLA-sponsored Meet and Greet for NWLC at Renegades Bar (501 W. Taylor St, San Jose, CA), on Friday, May 16, 2008.
The Captain and Sabra will begin serving around 6pm, but the Meet & Greet officially begins at 8pm. Plates are $6 and include your choice of Chicago Dog, The King Louie (Spicy Polish), The Big Al (Italian Beef), Captain's Big Ass Chili Dog or Sabra's Bitchin' BBQ Beef Sandwich: Choice of Potato Salad or Sabra's Special ColeSlaw: Brownie Bites for dessert!

Lyon-Martin Women's Health Services
Northwest Leather Celebration is pleased to announce that the smOdyssey board of directors has approved the selection of Lyon Martin Women's Health Services as this year's charity beneficiary. 15% of the after-expense profits from NWLC will be donated to Lyon-Martin clinic in San Francisco, CA.Founded in 1979, Lyon Martin Women's Health Services is a non-profit clinic that provides non-judgmental personalized healthcare and support services to women and transgendered people who lack access to quality care because of their sexual or gender identity, regardless of their ability to pay.
NORTHWEST LEATHER CELEBRATION
WHAT: smOdyssey's first annual Leather tribe gathering and host of the third annual Northwest regional Master/slave contest

On the weekend of May 16-18 smOdyssey, Inc. (a 501c7 not-for-profit org) will be producing a brand new event called "Northwest Leather Celebration" (NWLC). The primary venue for NWLC is a full-service luxury hotel in the San Jose area. Everyone is welcome at NWLC! We are hoping that this event will grow to provide a favorite annual gathering place for all the leather tribes.
This event will also be the new home of the annual Northwest Master/slave contest. This contest is open to all orientations and genders. If you have been in a Master/slave relationship for more than a year, you are very much encouraged to consider serving in this capacity. The Northwest Leather Celebration event will feature a lot of nightlife! Friday evening's "Meet & Greet" will be sponsored by Santa Clara County Leather Association (SCCLA) at Renegades Leather Bar in San Jose, CA (approx. 5 miles from the host hotel). There will be play parties on both Friday and Saturday night at our local community dungeon, Edges (also approx 5 miles from the host hotel). In addition, the popular SouthBay women's bar, Club Savoy is less than one mile from the hotel hotel.
Saturday's activities will include educational seminars throughout the entire day, an indoor air-conditioned vendor fair, bootblacking, a catered step-down luncheon for the outgoing Northwest regional Master/slave titleholders (sponsored by Sindulgences of Sacramento), and of course the contest pageant and show early on Saturday evening!
Sacramento Valley Leathercorps (SVLC) will be performing Saturday evening's Color Guard ceremony and Mr. Alameda County Leather (ACL) will sing the national anthem. Miss San Jose Pride, MonAlot MooRe, will be performing a lively number in the show, and audience members will also enjoy the comedic talent of San Francisco's Mollena Williams. After the contest you can relax at our "Port and Cigars" poolside social or make a beeline for the play party at Edges community dungeon.
Sunday will feature a catered brunch and keynote speech by slave ziggy, International slave 2006. Select from two delicious entrees for brunch. After the brunch and keynote speech please join us for an open MAsT meeting led by Master Conrad, executive director of MAsT International ("Masters And slaves Together").
Online registration is open now; early birds (thru March 31) get a $10 discount! We hope to see as many kink community members in attendance at the event as possible so we are striving to keep costs low.
Sponsorships, advertising and other opportunities for active support are also available. We welcome involvement from every group in any way they might be willing. Everyone's participation is encouraged because this event is for us all!
